Farewell

The last weekend in Geece we went to the island of Aegina on Sunday.

We saw this fantastic little temple,

and this Greek orthodox Church,

And this awesome marina.

Ellie being her adorable little self.

One of the last things we did as a group was to climb Mount Lycavettos for the sunset.

Athens is quite a magnificent city to behold.

I will certainly miss Greece and everything that it brought me, but the experience will always being with me and I will forever be grateful for that.

Hope to see you Soon-io

Sounio, now that is a beautiful place. We woke up early on a Saturday morning to head to the Temple of Poseidon in Sounio.

It was situated on top of a cliff with the great big blue sea spreading out in every direction.

With beaches right next door, this place was truly magnificent.

The temple itself was one of my favorite temples we've seen so far. Before the temples were so highly protected, it was customary for travelers to carve their name into the base of this temple. If you look hard enough and in the right spot you can find the place where Lord Byron the poet inscribed his name.

Quail!

We found these rocks on the side of the cliff. We probably were not supposed to go down there, but I guess we just couldn't resist because we spent a hefty amount of time climbing around on the rocks.

A couple of us even jumped into the water since we were already in our bathing suits.

There was a little runaway piece of a column sitting down by the sea.
